For now, this is the norm


The following is an excerpt from the book “Grieving with Hope” by Samuel J Hodges IV and Kathy Leonard.

A Pastor friend of mine shared this on his Facebook page. He is reading the book as he is learning to live with the grief of losing his beloved wife.

“We know how difficult it is to let yourself mourn, cry, and express your emotions. But fully experiencing grief is one of the most important things to do to experience comfort and healing.

Consciously acknowledge and feel each of your feelings.

Accept that this is the norm right now. You won’t always feel this way, but for now, find a place, a time and way to let your emotions come out.”
